By creating an account, accessing, or otherwise using VIA (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (these "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
VIA is intended for users 16 years of age or older.
By creating an account or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.
If you are between 16 and 17 years old, certain features, visibility settings, safety controls, or community participation may be subject to additional restrictions or safeguards.
You may not use the Service if your use of the Service is prohibited by applicable law.
VIA is a Christian faith and community platform designed to help users grow in faith through Scripture, prayer, Bible study, reflection, and meaningful connections with other people.
The Service may provide tools for Bible reading and study, prayer, journaling, Scripture notes and highlights, memorization, faith profiles, testimonies, prayer requests, community discussions, groups, circles, churches, communities, messaging, and other faith-related or social features.
VIA is designed to support personal faith development and Christian community. It does not claim to represent every Christian denomination, tradition, church, or theological position.
VIA provides educational, devotional, and informational faith-related content.
The Service, including AI-generated content, is not a substitute for a pastor, priest, minister, counselor, theologian, or other qualified professional.
AI-generated interpretations of Scripture, theological explanations, prayers, reflections, and other faith-related content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or reflect a particular theological perspective.
AI-generated content should not be treated as authoritative doctrine, official church teaching, or a definitive interpretation of Scripture.
Different Christians, denominations, churches, and theological traditions may reasonably disagree about Scripture, doctrine, interpretation, ethics, and matters of faith. The Service may identify or present such differences and does not guarantee that every faith-related answer will align with your beliefs or tradition.
You remain responsible for evaluating faith-related information and determining whether and how to rely upon it.
Nothing in the Service is intended to replace participation in a local church, pastoral relationship, professional counseling, or other appropriate sources of guidance.
VIA uses artificial intelligence and AI-assisted features, including Ask VIA, the Biblical Life Guide, prayer-generation features, and other AI-assisted functionality.
AI-generated responses may contain errors, omissions, inaccurate interpretations, inappropriate recommendations, or unintended theological perspectives.
AI may misunderstand Scripture, context, denomination, historical background, user intent, or personal circumstances.
AI-generated prayers are generated for personal use and reflection and are not automatically published as your posts or presented as prayers from a church, pastor, or other religious authority.
You should independently evaluate important information before relying on AI-generated content.
The Service does not represent that AI-generated content is inspired, divinely revealed, doctrinally authoritative, or endorsed by any particular church or denomination.
When you use an AI feature, information necessary to generate the requested response may be transmitted to third-party AI providers through the Service's technology infrastructure, including Base44's AI integration.
Depending on the feature, this may include information from your Faith Profile, questions, journal entries, prayer-related information, Scripture-related information, uploaded content, or other information you choose to provide.
Third-party AI providers process information according to their applicable terms, policies, and technical arrangements.
Additional information about AI processing, data practices, applicable providers, and your choices is described in our AI Use & AI Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy.
You should not submit information to the Service that you are not authorized to provide or have processed by third-party providers.
An account is required to use VIA's core features.
You may register using email and password or an available third-party authentication method such as Google sign-in. Email verification or another verification process may be required.
You agree to provide accurate information during registration and onboarding and to keep your information reasonably current.
You may provide a preferred name and may use available profile and username features in accordance with the Service's rules.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity occurring under your account.
You may not share your account, transfer it to another person, or knowingly permit another person to use your account except through features expressly designed for that person's participation.
VIA may allow you to create a voluntary Faith Profile containing information such as your church tradition, denomination, beliefs or convictions, spiritual stage, theological preferences, personal-faith information, and topics for which you want assistance.
Your Faith Profile is intended to personalize your VIA experience and may be used as context for certain AI features.
You are responsible for the information you choose to provide in your Faith Profile.
You should consider carefully whether you want to provide sensitive or highly personal religious information to the Service.
Your Faith Profile does not represent a universal theological standard and does not cause VIA to treat your beliefs as objectively authoritative.
The Service allows you to create, upload, store, post, or otherwise provide content, including:
All such material is referred to as "User Content."
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for the consequences of submitting, sharing, publishing, or otherwise making it available through the Service.
You represent and warrant that, with respect to User Content you submit:
VIA contains public, community, group, and private features.
Depending on the feature and the audience you select, User Content may be visible to:
You are responsible for understanding the visibility settings associated with content before posting or sharing it.
Some content is intended to remain private, including personal journals, Bible annotations and notes, private prayers, Ask VIA conversations, and your Faith Profile, except where you intentionally choose to share applicable content through a feature that permits sharing.
Testimonies may default to friends or another limited audience and may be set to private where the Service provides that option.
Prayer requests may also support limited audiences, such as circles or groups.
VIA is intended to provide a respectful Christian community.
You may disagree with another user's beliefs, interpretation of Scripture, denomination, theological position, or religious practice. Good-faith theological disagreement is not, by itself, a violation of these Terms.
However, you may not use disagreement as a basis for harassment, threats, bullying, intimidation, discrimination, targeted abuse, or other prohibited conduct.
You may not use the Service to:
VIA permits users who are 16 or 17 years old to use the Service.
Because minors may participate in portions of the VIA community, certain features, visibility settings, interactions, or access to other users may be subject to additional safety restrictions.
You may not use VIA to target, exploit, groom, sexually solicit, manipulate, or otherwise harm a minor.
Users must not attempt to circumvent age-related restrictions or misrepresent their age to gain access to features or interactions.
VIA may use moderation, reporting, account-standing, visibility, or other safety mechanisms to restrict access or respond to conduct involving minors.
Additional information is provided in our Age & Child Safety Policy.
VIA contains features intended for personal use, including journals, Bible study notes and annotations, private prayers, Faith Profiles, and AI conversations.
Although these features are intended to be private, no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security or confidentiality.
You should use appropriate caution before entering highly sensitive personal information into any online service.
Additional information about how VIA collects, uses, stores, protects, and deletes personal information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
VIA may allow users to follow, message, comment on, react to, or otherwise interact with other users.
You are responsible for your interactions with other users.
Student Money Mentors LLC does not guarantee the identity, intentions, beliefs, qualifications, or conduct of any user.
You should exercise reasonable caution when communicating with people you do not know personally.
You may not use VIA to solicit money, engage in scams, exploit another person, or establish inappropriate relationships with minors.
VIA may allow users to submit prayer requests, participate in prayers, respond to requests, and share faith-related experiences.
Prayer participation and community responses are voluntary.
VIA does not guarantee that a prayer request will receive a response or that any particular outcome will occur.
User-generated prayer, testimony, Scripture commentary, or theological content represents the views of the user who submitted it and does not necessarily represent the views of VIA or Student Money Mentors LLC.
You may not use the Service to:
We do not pre-screen all User Content and cannot guarantee that all content or interactions will comply with these Terms.
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review, investigate, remove, restrict, or disable access to User Content, accounts, features, communities, or other portions of the Service when we believe it is reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, respond to reports, comply with law, or protect the Service.
Moderation actions may include warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, visibility restrictions, temporary suspension, account suspension, or account termination.
We may consider reports, automated signals, account history, investigations, appeals, legal requirements, and other relevant information when making moderation decisions.
You may report content, accounts, messages, or other conduct that you believe violates these Terms or presents a safety concern through the reporting features provided by the Service.
Reports should contain enough information for us to understand and investigate the issue.
Where the Service provides an appeal process, users may use that process to challenge certain moderation or account-standing decisions.
We may take action in our discretion and as permitted or required by applicable law.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content to VIA, you grant Student Money Mentors LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use that User Content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure, and improve the features of the Service that you use.
This license includes transmitting applicable User Content to third-party service providers, including AI providers, when reasonably necessary to provide a feature you request.
This license does not transfer ownership of your User Content to Student Money Mentors LLC and does not authorize unrelated commercial exploitation, sale, or licensing of your User Content.
Where technically and operationally applicable, the license ends when your User Content is deleted or your account is closed, except to the extent continued processing or retention is reasonably necessary for backups, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
You may encounter User Content created or submitted by other users.
You do not acquire ownership rights in another user's content merely because it is visible to you, appears in a group or community you participate in, or is shared with you.
You may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, exploit, or otherwise use another user's content outside the permissions provided through the Service or applicable law.
We respect intellectual-property rights and expect users to do the same.
If you believe that User Content available through the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a copyright takedown request to our designated copyright contact.
A valid notice should include:
We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material while a complaint is investigated and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.
Designated copyright contact: about@studentmoneymentors.com
This contact is provided for copyright complaints and is not necessarily a registered DMCA agent.
The Service, including its software, design, interface, branding, graphics, features, text, and other materials provided by Student Money Mentors LLC, excluding User Content, is owned by or licensed to Student Money Mentors LLC and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use VIA for its intended purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
VIA may interact with or depend upon third-party websites, authentication providers, AI providers, hosting providers, storage providers, analytics providers, and other services.
Third-party services are not controlled by Student Money Mentors LLC.
Their availability, functionality, privacy practices, and terms may differ from ours.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or policies of third-party providers to the extent permitted by law.
VIA does not guarantee any particular spiritual, emotional, relational, theological, or personal outcome from using the Service.
Faith is personal, and individual beliefs, experiences, churches, traditions, and interpretations differ.
VIA does not promise that use of the Service will strengthen your faith, resolve a personal issue, answer a theological question, improve a relationship, result in a particular prayer outcome, or produce any other particular result.
VIA is currently provided without requiring users to pay for access to the Service.
We may introduce subscriptions, purchases, premium features, or other paid services in the future.
If we do, applicable pricing, billing, cancellation, and refund terms will be disclosed before you are charged and may be incorporated into these Terms or provided in separate terms.
We may offer features identified as beta, preview, experimental, or similar.
Such features may be incomplete, contain errors, change without notice, or be discontinued at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising solely from your use of beta or experimental features.
We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue portions of the Service at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, cyberattacks, governmental actions, or failures of third-party service providers.
You may stop using VIA or delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe you have:
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning User Content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and interpretation.
You may delete your account or request deletion through available Service features.
App-level records associated with your account may be deleted through the Service's deletion processes.
Certain underlying storage, authentication, backup, or infrastructure records may be managed by third-party platform providers and may be subject to their retention and deletion procedures.
Accordingly, we do not promise that every copy of every item will be immediately and permanently removed from every backup or infrastructure system.
Our Privacy Policy and Data Retention & Deletion Policy provide additional information about deletion and retention.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VIA is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Student Money Mentors LLC disclaims warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.
We do not warrant that:
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Student Money Mentors LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service or these Terms.
Without limiting the foregoing, we are not responsible for:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Student Money Mentors LLC's total aggregate liability for claims arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to Student Money Mentors LLC for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Because the Service is currently free, if you have not paid any amount for the Service, Student Money Mentors LLC's liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Student Money Mentors LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:

These Terms are intended to be governed and interpreted under applicable law of the United States and the applicable laws governing the relationship between you and Student Money Mentors LLC.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in accordance with applicable U.S. federal and state law, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection, jurisdiction, arbitration, or venue requirements that cannot legally be waived.
Student Money Mentors LLC may later designate a specific governing state and venue through an updated version of these Terms.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent.
We may assign these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, corporate reorganization, or similar transaction.
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable or, if modification is not possible, severed.
The remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Our failure or delay in enforcing any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.
A waiver must be made in writing and applies only to the specific instance for which it is given.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, AI Use & AI Privacy Notice, Community Guidelines, Safety & Reporting Policy, Copyright/DMCA Policy, Age & Child Safety Policy, Data Retention & Deletion Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Third-Party/Subprocessor information, and any other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and Student Money Mentors LLC regarding your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice when required by law or when we determine that a change is material.
